Our Values

Pursuit of God

We seek God and patiently wait expectantly for His presence in all that we do

(John 4.34, 5:19-20)

The Bible

As Christians, the Bible is our final authority; our approach to life and ministry is shaped by the counsel of Scripture

(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Unity

Our brothers and sisters in other denominations are fellow believers. We will love whom Jesus loves: The whole church

(Ephesians 4:3-6)

Equipping

God call and enables believers to express the talents, gifts and ministries that He has set aside for them. The orientation of all ministry is toward the integration of biblical truth into everyday living that impacts our community and beyond

(Ephesians 4:11-13)

Generosity

We are stewards of God’s gifts and resources (Matthew 10:8, 39; 13:45-46). We do not own our ministries, so they are not ours to keep. We “give to to get to give.”

Simplicity

We want to be “naturally supernatural,” avoiding behaviour that draws attention away from God and to ourselves

(1 Corinthians 2:2-5; James 3:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12)

Compassion

We desire to be a Community who displays Jesus compassion and response in a loving way to those who are hurting or in need whether it be spiritual, physical or emotional. God’s mercy and compassion always triumphs over judgement.

Relationship

Caring for people is our highest priority after loving submission to God, because the purpose of the cross of Christ was the redemption of men and women

(Romans 12:9-13; 1 Corinthians 13:4-9; Colossians 3:12-14).

Risk Taking

We know that gifting develops in an environment of trail - error, so we are willing to be patient with people’s weaknesses and failures while they learn

(John 21:15-19; Galatians 5:22-23)

Calvary Assembly

Calvary Assembly is a multi-ethnic group of people who meet as believers in a common faith in Jesus the Christ. Our links to the Foursquare denomination identify our beliefs and congregational attachments.

Our local body has been in existence for nearly 40 years and has had an impact on society both locally and overseas. We are actively involved in preaching the gospel of good news as commissioned by Jesus to do so. We do both local and overseas outreaches through evangelism and Mission trips.

Since January 2016, God has been moving amongst us with signs following His word. We have been evidencing this move through souls being saved, healing, water baptism and Holy Ghost baptism. In addition to this, many have received answers to prayer and have been blessed with the desires of their hearts.

We have a heart for souls both unsaved and saved. Furthermore, we are seeking disciples for Christ that can go into all the world and preach the gospel. To that end, we are empowering our local members to become these disciples.

Our hope is that we will reach as many as we can before the return of the Lord. We also wish to leave behind a legacy should the Lord tarry.

In conclusion, we are a family in Christ, open to the Spirit of God as He leads us. We place a strong emphasis on the word and the power of the word through the Holy Spirit. Character and spiritual growth are two underlying themes behind all our activities in daily living and ministerial activity.

We are located strategically in the Spirit to take advantage of the times we live in. If you are looking for a Church on the move with the Spirit of God, that is who we are.

We wish you the many blessings of Abraham through Christ Jesus our Saviour.
